MOBILE, Ala. (AP) - A federal jury has convicted a formersouthwest Alabama judge on two firearms charges related to a
restraining order in a domestic dispute.
Jurors found Stuart DuBose of Jackson guilty on Tuesday. He
faces up to 10 years in prison at sentencing in March.
DuBose was ousted as a circuit judge for Clarke, Choctaw and
Washington counties in June by the Alabama Court of the Judiciary
on unrelated ethics charges.
The federal charges stem from his possession of firearms in
violation of a restraining order and lying on a gun-purchase form.
DuBose's attorney said an appeal is likely.
