What were you there for? you sound like an upset customer? lol

The Municipal Court held in Summerdale is a joke, police laughing loudly and hanging over the divider is degrading, especially when court is in session. The woman sitting next to the judge chewing bubble gum, is not too professional either.

Wee spoken tide fan.  I see no special treatment here.  This is the same punishment that would be administered to any other first time offender of the same crime.  In fact,  the revoking of the license is not always administered so you may even say that they were a little harsher than normal.  The one year probation, community service, and fines are standard protocol.  Seems to me that the punishment meets the crime and is compliance with normal sentencing behaviour.  I don’t see what all of the fuss is about.

I got the impression he really felt bad about pulling such a bone-headed stunt and the penalty suits the crime.

When he was the D.A., how did he treat first time DUI offenders?

Boy…pretty tough crowd here. The man publicly admitted he was wrong and apologized. His punishment was in line with that given to the average Joe off the street on a first time offense. In the eyes of some though, he is in a no win situation…there is nothing that he could say to satisfy everyone…if he apologizes..some say he wants pity, if he says nothing..some say hes hiding and wont admit he was wrong…if he denies it and fights it…he is just another lawyer working the system…How many public figures get DUI’s AND NEVER APOLOGIZE FOR THEIR ACTIONS? Barkley, Stabler, high dollar DUI attornery out of Mobile…etc…Oh well…He broke the law, went to jail, and was punished..hopefully it wont happen again…

What a joke. You might as well say he got away with it. 12 months and it’s off his record. They say this is his first offense. Try out this one: ” This is the first time he has got CAUGHT.” There are many rumors floating around Baldwin County about this fellow, just take a look at his eyes, may guess is they ain’t RED from eatin hot sause!!!!

It really doesn’t take any guts to admit it, Tide. In reality, he knows that pleading guilty will reduce the punishment and most likely end with a fine, probation, and some community service. He knew what he was doing. I can promise you that he will not be picking up trash on the side of the highway, cleaning public restrooms or cleaning out the horse stables. This will be a vacation for him…he knows that. Either way, this proves once again that anyone with any type of elevated status can get away with anything in this area. It all boils down to who you know.

Boo hoo…

He is not sorry for what he did. He just wants people to feel sorry for him.

Yep…takes some guts to admit that. Most if not all would claim all kinds of junk.

At least he didn’t try to pull strings and get it fixed.  Wonder what his community service will be…
