Former Teacher Will Plead Guilty To Child Porn Charges

MOBILE, Ala. (AP) - A former teacher accused of drugging two
children and offering them to a Florida man for sex will plead
guilty to child pornography charges.
According to documents filed in court by her attorney, Melissa
B. Gray will enter a so-called "blind plea" to possession and
distribution of child pornography charges. It means that she will
get no promise of a lenient sentencing recommendation from federal
prosecutors in Mobile. U.S. Magistrate Judge Katherine "Kit"
Nelson scheduled a Sept. 23 change of plea hearing.
Gray, a 30-year-old former schoolteacher, faces a
mandatory-minimum sentence of five years in prison. A worst-case
scenario of her punishment under advisory sentencing guidelines
shows she could get more than 12½ years. U.S. District Judge Kristi
DuBose will make the final decision.

I feel that the media should protect the children’s identity. The woman is the person that is sick and no matter whether the kids were hers or someone elses the public does not have to know every detail. Just pray for the innocent. It is unreal to me that we have got such leadership in our schools. It is nearly every day that a teacher is in the news.

When the story first broke months ago, I believe they said they were her children. She hooked up with a man on the internet and met somewhere in Mobile county. She drugged the kids and let him have his way with them. Too sick. Pornography charges? They need to go way beyond that.

She was drugging her own (male) child so some man could have sex with him. There is no sentence that should be more harsh besides murder. This is sick

I know from the kids side this doesn’t matter but where the children hers. The way the article reads these were just two children, were they someone elses children.
If these were someone elses children and were mine, away from me in prison would be the best thing for her.
