Former Bama Football Star Arrested On Drug & Prostitution Charges

Alabama Mobile Keith McCants was born in Mobile and played football at Murphy High School. He was drafted in 1990 by the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and played 6 years in the NFL.

MOBILE, Alabama - Former University of Alabama and NFL star Keith McCants was arrested today by Mobile police on outstanding warrants.

McCants is charged with soliciting a prostitute and possession of drug paraphernalia.

McCants was born in Mobile and played football at Murphy High School. He was drafted in 1990 by the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and played 6 years in the NFL.

McCants is no stranger to police. He was arrested by Mobile police in February 2008 on drug charges. A month later, Prichard police arrested McCants during a drug and prostitution sting. They tasered him after they say McCants threw a screwdriver, a pair of pliers and a crack pipe at an officer.

Maybe he was only paddled the first time he was sent to jail. Obviously by the repeat offenders in PeeWee Herman’s trial, you can see that paddling doesn’t help this young men.

At least they are showing the JOHN side of it rather than solely the prostitutes who were arrested.

Just give them the drugs and save the rest of us from having our houses robbed, carjackings, motels blown up and the rank odor of meth wafting across neighborhoods.
