MOBILE, Alabama - Former University of Alabama and NFL star Keith McCants was arrested today by Mobile police on outstanding warrants.McCants is charged with soliciting a prostitute and possession of drug paraphernalia.
McCants was born in Mobile and played football at Murphy High School. He was drafted in 1990 by the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and played 6 years in the NFL.
McCants is no stranger to police. He was arrested by Mobile police in February 2008 on drug charges. A month later, Prichard police arrested McCants during a drug and prostitution sting. They tasered him after they say McCants threw a screwdriver, a pair of pliers and a crack pipe at an officer.
