The problem with welfare and food stamps is it is abused…  If you are over the age of 70 then you whould be eligible if your under that age get a job and quit living off of people who work hard for a living! Who made you on welface think that your better than the rest of us (if i’m not mistaken you put your pants on just like the rest of us) and who said you needed 5 eligimate kids (last time i checked that is what child support is for) GOVERNMENT I BLAME ALL OF THIS ON YOU! Thing would not be in the shape they are in if you would make it harder to get….

I’d like to take this opportunity to mention that I work at a novelty type store—there’s not a THING in this shop that someone on foodstamps should be buying. However, more than once have I seen someone pull up in a slightly used Mercedes, Lexus, or Cadillac, then I see that beautiful blue Food Stamp card with ALABAMA across it in their wallet as they get crisp $20s out of their wallets to purchase a nudey magazine.

No more socialism!! There’s a huge difference between me saying “What’s mine is yours” and you saying “What’s yours is mine”. Put that in your stem and smoke it!!

YES abolish welfare programs!!! It was designed for a purpose. Being the spouses of soldiers during WW2. Not highly irresponsible single mothers looking for society to pay for and raise her kids. Your right about 1 thing, the taxpayers keep her afloat so she can smoke, drink, and do drugs. Food stamps may be electronic. That don’t keep someone from filling their dealers shopping list for their fix. Get real and get off this sympathy plea!

Oh and BTW I’m blessed to have a wonderful job which allows me to provide for my family and I pay my share of taxes. Your remarks are unfounded and hurtful. You don’t have to agree with me, but the personal attacks cross the line and defeat the objective of public forums, which should be used to foster open communication and conversation.
