Man Confesses To Killing His Girlfriend

Alabama Foley  Foley police say Quintessa Pickens' boyfriend confessed to killing her. He was arrested after a manhunt that started when Pickens' mom found her daughter's body and called police.

10:22 a.m.
- Police say Quintessa Pickens' boyfriend, Jontez Holt, confessed to killing her.
- Pickens' mom confronted Holt last night, wanting to know where her daughter was.
- Around 9:30 p.m., mom forced her way into the apartment and found her daughter's body.
- Holt took off when she called police.
- Holt was arrested in Elberta after a manhunt by Foley police and the Escambia County Sheriff's Office.

9:05 a.m.
Foley police are investigating the city's first homicide of 2009.

Quintessa Pickens was found dead last night in her unit at the Victoria Place Apartments across from Tanger Mall. Police say there are signs she was assaulted. There are also signs of foul play.

Police are still on the scene processing evidence, but have a suspect in custody.
