Foley Bank Hoax

Alabama Foley  Anxious moments in Foley after a chilling 911 phone call.

The search is on for the person responsible for a phone call that sent police to a Foley bank with guns drawn ready to confront a bank robber with hostages.
According to Police Chief David Wilson the man on the phone claimed he was robbing Wachovia Bank in Foley and he had hostages. Police swarmed the building surrounding it. With guns drawn they evacuated bank employees and customers. A search of the building turned up nothing. No bank robber. No hostages. Wilson says law enforcement was also concerned the fake bank robbery was a diversion, trying to draw law enforcement to one location while the real robbery happened somewhere else. Wilson says that did not happen. He says the person responsible for the hoax will face numerous charges,
