3:35 p.m.- All roads have been reopened.
2:41 p.m.
- The injured firefighter was the Semmes VFD Chief. He hurt his foot, but will be ok.
2:24 p.m.
- Investigators believe the fire was intentionally set.
- The injured firefighter was treated at the scene.
1:34 p.m.
A Semmes firefighter was injured while battling a big fire at Highway 45 and Spice Pond Road.
The Semmes Fire Department says two trailers, nearby woods and several piles of tires are all on fire.
The EPA is being called in to check the air and roads in the area are being closed by the Sheriff’s Office because of all the black smoke.
