Feeding The Elephants In Mobile

Mobile Circus Folks got to check out feeding time for elephants from the circus.

It's a pachyderm picnic! The biggest stars of the Ringling brothers and Barnum & Bailey Circus enjoyed lunch this afternoon, Thursday, June 18, 2009. Dozens turned out to watch these guys in action. Carrots, apples, lettuce, fresh bread, bananas and watermelons were on the menu. It was a totally vegetarian meal.

That stuff is great for the garden but nothing beats horse manure for the rose bed.

Thats a nice buffet there. Good to see that they are treated well, and well fed. There has been so much animal abuse lately, its good to see animals in good shape!

All I know is that Downtown Mobile has smelled like elephant poo for the last couple of weeks.  I’ll be glad when they move on.

I wouldn’t want to be behind those elephants after that meal.  Too much fiber!  gulp

Do those elephants spit out the watermelon seeds?
