Father Of 2 Shot In Head

Father John Tyson Chad Land was home from college for the holidays to be with his kids. He was gunned down in his SUV.

The man accused of gunning down a father of two last night has turned himself.

Fred Quinnie surrendered to Mobile Police on Friday afternoon. He's been charged with murder, attempted murder and robbery.

Mobile County District Attorney John Tyson says Chad Land was shot in the head last night in his car on Rickarby Street. Tyson also tells us that the 23-year old victim not only a dad... but also a student at Alabama A&M. "It is a very tough scene here at Christmas time. The young man had been at college had come home from college to help out with the children."

Police say a second man was shot on Rickarby last night too. He was treated and released from USA Medical Center.
