“They know they have a mom, they're never going to get to meet that mom,” says Marisol. “I have a 3 year old, there's a bonding that starts in the womb and they're not going to get that, and this person does not deserve to be out in the streets again.” Family members say they believe the women had stumbled on a robbery at their house, at the wrong time.
“This is just a robbery and the person that did it just needs to pay for it these lives have been destroyed,” says Joe Barajas.
They say Maria and Yesenia's significant others work seven days a week in Pascagoula to help make ends meet. Their half brother Joe says they need someone to come forward to put the killer behind bars.
“Just say something, there's a killer out there they were killed for no reason, you know my brother they're going through hell right now, this is just a bad situation,” says Joe. Family members say they have to pull together now to help the children who will now grow up without their mothers. A fund has been set up at Hancock Bank for the family. You can ask to donate to Jose and Alan Barajas.
