Family members gave News 5 the picture at the beginning of the article and said the girl who almost drowned Saturday, July 18, 2009 was Kylee Waldrop.

“The water that they was in was only a few inches deep, I mean it wasn't very deep at all, but I guess that's all it takes,” says Kylee’s uncle Jeremy Waldrop. The victim's grandparents run Styx River Canoe and Tube Rental. Family members say the girl somehow got into the water at one of their drop-off points.

“[We were] surprised really cause you never know I guess, my older brother, he's pretty upset about it,” says Kylee’s other uncle Jonathan Waldrop. The one thing family members want to emphasize is what happened Saturday was purely an accident.

“[Kylee’s parents] was over there will all three of their kids they've always been great with kids,” says Jeremy Waldrop. The Baldwin County Sheriff's Office says the girl was left with a 7-year-old-boy, but family members say Kylee's was with her two sisters and father Jimmy Waldrop merely turned his attention away for a moment.

“They're doing as well as can be expected, they're all pretty shook up about it,” says Jonathan. Kaylee was airlifted to Sacred Heart Hospital in Pensacola after first responders tried to revive her. A hospital spokesman says Kylee’s listed in critical condition. A Sheriff’s Office spokesman was unavailable Sunday night to give an update on the case.

after praying on this for awhile, I realize focusing on negative falsehoods is not the appropriate thing. I would more like to thank Rosington Fire Dept. especially Margie, for her continued support, the angels of the Life flight crew, and last but not least, the wonderful staff at Sacred Heart Hospital. To WKRG, there was not a 7 year old boy present, although my other 2 daughters where there, ages 7 and 3, both have spent almost every summer weekend of their life there, without incident. Now would be a more appropriate time to call than when my daughter was in ICU, I am very disappointed in the reports and treatment from BCSD, but that’s another subject as well

CMB1, the reason you don’t know who Genisis is, its because she has nothing to do with this subject, and it would be great if the web-site manager would address it if this continues, it is a story in itself that I have tried hard to stay out of even though it has affected members of my family, whom which I love very much, severely.I am deeply saddened by that situation, but also basking in the glory of Gods quick healing of my daughter Kylee, which is the subject of the story at hand. Note: The only times my daughters and I got to spend with Genny was when my Dad or brother brought her to my house, she was never taken from my custody! I would like to make that very clear!

I am Kylees father and I had to create this account to defend myself from a statement made by hanban. Genisis is my niece, and has never been in my custody so she was never taken directly from me, although my family and I miss her terribly. My 3 year old daughter keeps a picture of the 2 of them and often brings it to me and ask when will she get to see her cousin again, for which I am forced to sugar-coat the answer because I don’t know the answer. I have thought about contacting the mother to see if it was possible to get together, being I live far away from the rest of my “Waldrop” family, but have chosen to stay out of it due to the ongoing battle my brother and father are pursuing. But seeing as how the terms and conditions of this site say to stick to the subject at hand, MY DAUGHTER KYLEE, I will move on. Hanban, since you seem to be so thrilled about this story maybe it will warm your heart to hear how bad me and my wife feel about this whole situation. I personally cannot describe the guilt I feel for my daughters near drowning, that has limited me to 3 or 4 hours sleep a night since this happened with terrible flashbacks to the day of the ACCIDENT! to the ICU room, and the days that have followed. For the rest of you, whom seem to TRULY care, we just got back from the childrens hospital in birmingham, that was optional due to Kylees wonderful recovery, and she is 100% fully recovered. Thank You all for your Prayers and THANK GOD for blessing us with a 2nd chance!!!

We are all entitled to our opinions and I have stated mine. As I said, my thoughts and prayers are with Kylee, but I agree whole heartedly with the officers. As I stated, I have seen first hand what they have done to a child that was NOT their child and I thank God today that she is no longer going to see them!

hanban:If you dont get help at Charter, please get help SOME WHERE.

Who is Genesis?

Thank God that Genesis is no longer in their custody! I feel saddened for the child. If the investigators say the parents were not there, I completely agree with them. I know this family and I know the hell that put one child through just to hurt the mother (Genesis). They just recently lost all rights to this child I now thank God that she wasn’t there but I do feel very sad for the baby girl and my thoughts and prayers are with her!

To:Aprilrp and Mustuknow You are both right if you could look into the eyes of the parents and grandparents of little Kylee as I have these last few days you would see that this goes even beyond suffering. This is tearing their body and souls completely apart. Some of the things being said about this tragedy are so far from the truth its unbelieveable.Im afraid that they are going to be dragged thru the mud so much there wont be anything left of them or even the mud.It seems as though the principals this great country were founded on are blowing away like paper in the wind. There are certain people in America that find Great Joy in grinding a persons spirit into dust.Im glad that there are people such as you that can still see {to be polite}thru the cow dung. Thanks for your Post.

CMB1 From the information I received a little while ago she has been taken off life support and is breathing on her own she is starting to wake up and is even begining to cry. From my point of view that would have to be the most Wonderful sound a Parent could ever hear. I thank God for all the people that prayed for her may the Lord bless you all.I also would like to ask for your continuing Prayers for her complete recovery and for the Family.Thank you so much for your concern.

Bamarock how is the little girl doing? Our prayers go out to the family.
