FOLEY, Alabama - Two Baldwin County families have been wiped out financially by an international lottery scam. But, Foley Police believe they have made a dent in the problem after arresting a man during a sting operation in Florida. Police say Stanley Walker wasn't working alone. They believe he is part of a much larger ring working out of Jamaica, "They contact you making you believe that you've won a lottery that doesn't exist. And, these people are coerced into sending money to Jamaica in hopes of receiving their money," said Foley Police investigator, Cpl. Tony Nelson. Walker was taken to the Baldwin County Jail and is charged with felony theft. The U.S. Secret Service and a Jamaican task force are also investigating.

Really brings to mind that old saying, doesn’t it?” A FOOL AND HIS MONEY WILL SOON PART”.

Here’s your sign…

Let us know who fell for something so stupid… I have a little prize give away of my own.

Their own stupidity and greed caused them to lose their money. I have no sympathy for them. However, the thieves should spend a lifetime in prison doing hard labor.

Good grief! Another station is reporting these two families were milked out of a million dollars! Mercy! I wonder if these were elderly people? (I recant my “sign” statement if they were).

Are they wearing a sign now?

They have to be kidding? How could you possibly believe these idiotic scams are reality?

Now if one falls for a stupid scam such as this than I’d say thats his own ignorance! No sympothy from this WKRG Viewer..
