SALTAIRE, Alabama - The community of Saltaire is celebrating the fall and helping charities at the same time. The home builders association there held a fall festival today, 10/25/09. The event was full of games and arts and crafts for the kids. Admission was free with a donation of a non-perishable food item to the Bay Area Food Bank. Organizers say they tried to make a festival with a broad appeal. The money raised goes to the Food Bank, Child Advocacy Center, McKemie Place and Penelope House.

Really?  Home builders association?  Think they may be trying to sell houses? That was a lost cause when they started it, but I will gladly drop off some canned goods in the am if they want me to.
