Elberta Police Chief Gary Peaden is leaving the department because of a conflict with Mayor Marvin Williams."The mayor and I have our disagreements but we have a good relationship," Peaden said. "He has a different management style
than I'm used to. I wanted to take the police department in a direction the mayor was opposed to."
Peaden submitted his letter of resignation last week. His last day is Monday.
Peaden tells News 5 he will be working as a federal security officer at the courthouse in Pensacola.
