Fairhope police arrested a man wanted for a drive-by shooting.

According to police, 37-year-old Leslie Williams of Prichard drove by a home on Middle Street Tuesday night and fired five shots from his .380 caliber pistol. Three of the bullets hit the house, but police say the intended target was sitting in his car which was parked in the driveway.

A witness called police who spotted Williams' car on Highway 98 and arrested him.

Williams is charged with discharging a firearm into an occupied dwelling, which is a felony. His gun was found on Highway 98. Police believe Williams tossed it out his car window before he was pulled over.
