NORTH MOBILE COUNTY, Alabama - The Mobile County Sheriff's Office is investigating a possible murder-suicide.

District Attorney John Tyson, Jr. says Gilberto Munguia and Dana Byrd were found dead in the front yard of their neighbor's home Thursday morning on Soshee Road near Mount Vernon.

According to the Sheriff's Office, Dana was shot three times and Gilberto once. An autopsy, being conducted tomorrow, will hopefully provide more answers. But the Sheriff's Office says it appears Gilberto shot her and then killed himself.

Family members say the two were married with one small child.

News 5's Chad Petri will have the latest on this case tonight on News 5 at 5:00 & 6:00.

It seems a lot of people would rather resort to violence instead of thinking. Here’s hoping this child has good grand parents on one side or the other.

This is very sad.
