Alabama Boy Three-year boy attacked and bitten by a pitbull in Loxley

A three-year year old Loxley boy was attacked and bitten by a pitbull this week.

"It was a big dog!" says Trever Jernigan. "It bit me!"

Trever's mother, Jennifer Jernigan, says her son was in their front yard picking flowers when the dog, jumped on him, pulled him to the ground and attacked him.

"It's an extremely scary feeling," says Jennifer. "Just to know that at any moment a dog could come in your yard and attack your kids."

Trevor was bitten in the groin and in the leg.

"My main goal is to have the dog put down," says Jennifer. "I don't want this to happen again. What's the chances I'll be in the yard this time?"

Jernigan's goal of putting the dog down probably won't happen. Alabama's law involving animal attacks is practically non-existent. The laws are lenient for dog owners. Police are looking at possible charges, but say any fines or penalties would be minimal. So far, the pet owner has not been charged.

Never said I wanted to shoot SOMETHING, just any dog that attacked my kids. I have yet to attack you personally in this section, so don’t start attacking me. Just explain your comments regarding this one versus the last one. You are the supposed expert in dogs, so show it .

no klb, i copied and pasted it to from another poster that was slamming me for protesting cockfighting. if you had taken the time to go back and check you would have seen the poster i copied it from dew26m where he posted it to defend cockfighting. so once again i am saying you can get your storied mixed up.
