(cont.) Rubberneckers are dangerous to LEO’s, firemen and first responders.  Not only are rubberneckers a danger but those who are distracted or intoxicated because they are not in complete control of their actions.  I commend this officer for his professionalism and I sincerely think that everyone who reads this needs this needs to think next time they come upon emergency vehicles on the highway.  MOVE OVER, GIVE THE EMERGENCY PERSONNEL YOUR RESPECT BY RESPECTING THEIR LIVES.  LEO’s, firemen and first responders do not do their jobs for the money, they do it because they want to help their fellow citizens.  One day you may need EMERGENCY PERSONNEL to help you or your family.  If they are injured they cannot help you.  Think about this next time you come upon EMERGENCY VEHICLES on the highway.

I do not begin to be the judge or jury when it comes to someones guilt or innocence and will reserve my opinion on Mr. Stabler BUT at 3:30 am this morning Oct 26, 2008 I myself was on the scene of an automobile accident where a car had rolled and landed in a creek.  The driver was intoxicated, but did not speak with a slur or have trouble standing or the like.  While waiting for the wrecker to try and fish the car out of the creek, myself and a paramedic where standing in the accident scene when we heard a strange noise coming towards us.  What happened then is every LEO, fireman or first responders worse fear.  I VERY INTOXICATED DRIVER came plowing thru the scene and if it weren’t for the paramedic I myself would have probably been a statistic.  The driver was driving on rims only, running approx 40 mph or better and only by the grace of God and the quick thinking of the paramedic I or no one else got hurt.  Needless to say, the MHP officer got 2 DUI’s from one scene.

I appreciate all the officers for doing their jobs, but you are just part of the legal system. You aren’t THE legal system. You keep our streets safe and for that I am grateful, but you don’t get to be judge and jury as well.

This officer is very respectful to the subject. My understanding was that LE did not observe him at all times after he was stopped and before he had a BAC done. Unfortunately, that is the same thing as not keeping a chain of custody on evidence. In this case, Mr. Stabler is evidence.

Implied consent requires that you submit to a field sobriety test and breathalizer. Officers need to wait 15 minutes after a stop and OBSERVE subject to make sure mo other substances were consumed, then do the breathalizer. This rules out alcohol remaining in the mouth. If the subject refuses, the LE needs to do the BAC. It’s better information anyhow. Field sobriety tests are notorious for being inaccurate.

I would commend the officer on his professionalism and care during this stop. Mr. Snake needs to suffer consequences in order to desire sobriety. It’s apparent he has a MAJOR problem. You all are right, if he slammed into a family of six, there might have been more of an outcry.

I HAVE BEEN IN LAW ENFORCEMENT FOR AWHILE NOW JUST WHATCHING KENNY ON THE VIDEO WOULD HAVE PROVEN HE WAS GUILTY! SLURDE SPEECH LEANING AGAINST THE CAR TO MAINTAIN BALANCE, LYING TO THE OFFICER ABOUT HIS DRIVER’S LICENSE, REFUSING TO TAKE FIELD SOBRIETY I MEAN WHAT ELSE DO YOU NEED. POLITICS ARE ALL CORRUPT NOW DAY’S THEY GO WHERE THE MONEY IS AND IM SURE SOMEONE GOT PAID. I AM GLAD THAT OFFICER MADE THE RIGHT DECISION. WHAT IF IT HAD OF BEEN YOUR FAMILY MEMEBER THIS IDIOT HIT HEAD ON. WHEN YOU HAVE PULLED A 4 YEAR OLD OUT OF THE WINDSHIELD OF A CAR I GUARANTEE YOU IT WANT BE A SLAP ON THE HAND. AND FOR DEFENSE ATTORNEY’S WHO GET PAID TO MAKE US OFFICER’S LOOK BAD WHEN WE ARE ONLY DOING OUR JOB’S THEN I HOPE YOU ALL GET WHAT YOU DESERVE!!

This is the the kind of crap that got me out of LE many years ago.  Judges and lawyers sticking it to the officers that do the actual work.  I’ll never listen to this piece of trash again on the radio.  It’s really sad but he will have to kill someone before anything is done.

You know that is sad…if had been a regular person and NOT the SNAKE we would have gotten a dui.  So what the judge gonna do next time when he does it again and possibly kills or seriously hurts someone, acquite him again? I’m sorry but they need to treat each and everybody the same when it comes to dui or any criminal offense for that matter! Just because they are a star don’t make a crap! If they are going to do the crime reguardless of who they are they should be made to do the time!!! With the regular people down here and not the stars get in trouble with the law we really get in trouble and not just with a slap on the hand!! These officers are out there everyday and every night busting there butts for our safety but when something like this happens it is almost like someone just spit in there face! The arresting officer did an outstanding job and if I could I would tell him thank you for putting your life on the line for me and my families safety!

It is sad that Kenny got out of this dui! If he was not drunk then he should have taken the test. Refusal is considered an admission of guilt. Sounds like the judge is playing politics, while these officers are out risking their lives to keep us safe. Snake could not even make up his mind if he had a license or not.

Once again folks, if you are in a position of power, or a celebrity, you are above the law. This officer did an oustanding job…it’s almost a slap in the face to law enforcement that they let Kenny off without a hitch. These officers bust their tales to get drunks off of the street, and then these lawyers and judges put them right back out there again. What if he had hit the officers car or a civilians car and injured them? (or worse) What does it take? I am glad to know that these officers are doing a good job, but I feel bad that sometimes all of their hard work and effort are in vain.
