Daphne’s Longest Serving Mayor Has Died

Alabama Daphne  Victor Guarisco served as mayor from 1976-1992. He was a member of the city council for 24 years before that.

The longest serving mayor in Daphne's history has died. Victor Guarisco passed away Tuesday at the age of 87.

Guarisco served as mayor for 16 consecutive years, from 1976-1992. He was a member of the city council for 24 years before that.

Guarisco's wife Doris says "the city was the love of his life."
