Fairhope's new police chief will be sworn in Wednesday morning. Bill Press was hired June 22. He retired from the Miami Dade Police Department earlier this year. Press was a member of the department's Crime Scene Investigation unit. He also did some consulting work for the CBS hit show CSI: Miami.
Press replaces Chief Mike Comalander who resigned in January. Terry Sanders has served as interim chief.
