Mobile County Sheriff's Office SWAT Team assisted the Creola Police Department overnight on a standoff situation. It all started just after 11pm Sunday night when an ambulance was called to 210 Hall Branch Road for someone shot. That person was transported to a local hospital with non life threatening injuries. After the shooting incident, the shooting suspect barricaded himself inside the same residence and refused to come out. Mobile County Sheriff's SWAT members gained entry to the residence and took the man into custody around 5:30am this morning. The suspect was not injured. He is being taken to a local hospital for mental evaluation.
