The Coast Guard is searching for a missing surfer.17-year-old John Stevens went missing Saturday while surfing with his grandfather off the coast of Navarre Beach.
Shortly after 9:30 p.m., the Coast Guard launched an HH-65C Dolphin rescue helicopter from Air Station New Orleans. Sector Mobile diverted the Coast Guard Cutter Cobia and crew, and Station Pensacola launched a small boat and crew.
The Coast Guard is continuing its search Sunday with the helicopter from Air Station New Orleans, the Cobia and a small boat and crew from Coast Guard Station Destin.
