MOBILE, Ala. — The Coast Guard medevaced a 75-year-old woman from a cruise ship in Mobile Bay near Mobile, Ala., Thursday. Watchstanders at Coast Guard Sector Mobile received a call from the Carnival cruise ship Holiday at approximately 5:30 p.m. requesting a medevac for a 75-year-old woman, who sustained a cut to her leg.
Coast Guard Station Dauphin Island, Ala., immediately launched a 25-foot response boat and crew, which brought the woman and her daughter to Station Dauphin Island where Emergency Medical Technicians were standing by to provide further care for the woman and transport her to a local hospital.
