Volunteers were up bright and early cleaning up the city. They started picking up trash at eight Saturday morning. It's part of the city of Prichard's Clean Sweep. In the video you see volunteers from a local church picking up an area along Wilson Avenue. Volunteers say it's a good way to give back to different communities. “To serve and help lift individuals and communities that are struggling economically and just to do the Lord's work,” says volunteer Tasha Quinnelly. Prichard's Clean Sweep also coincided with a Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints service day that's going on in 11 other states. Volunteers worked for several hours picking up tons of trash.
