An Irvington church is grieving the loss of one of it's Sunday school teachers after a boating accident. Search crews pulled Joe Wongsa's body from Mobile Bay Monday after authorities say he fell from a boat and drowned. Now, the First Baptist Church of Irvington Laotian Mission is without their music minister and Sunday school teacher,"he's a good man for the community and he helpful for our Laotians," said Rev. Noy Paul. Rev. Paul says church members will be going to Wongsa's house every evening until his funeral for bible study and to pray with his family. Wongsa leaves behind a wife and four children.

It will be an eye opener for people in the Irvington/Bayou la batre community. Although your first post shows great scarcasm.  He leaves behind young children and a wife. My heart goes out because this was my church family.

He was a man of God, correct? God calls his people to heaven for a reason, is the common belief. And in this case, I’m pretty sure it could have something to do with teaching people in this church’s community about wearing life jackets.

That was a cheap shot.  We should all remember this man’s family and pray for them during this time of grief.  However, let’s not let his death be in vain, hopefully others will learn from his death about the hazards on the water and practice safety when boating or playing in the water.

Sounds like a message from God about wearing LIFE JACKETS.
