A Prichard mother is charged with five counts of violating a custody order after police say she picked up her children from a bus stop.

Police spent more than 24 hours searching for Latrashea Clemmons, 31, and her five kids, who were reported missing when they didn't show up at school Wednesday morning.

The children, ranging from 3 to 11 years old, were taken away from their mother in May and placed under the guardianship of their aunt, Danielle Scarbrough.

"It's not very good thoughts right now, but I'm able to deal with it," said Scarborough before she knew the children were found. "I got people helping me deal with it."

Clemmons turned herself in Thursday afternoon. The children were surrendered to the Department of Human Resources, who will decide where they will go next.
