Child Support Guidelines Are Changing

Alabama Dhr Child support will increase for middle income families; decrease for the very poor and upper income families in Alabama.

BIRMINGHAM, Ala. (AP) - Alabama courts have issued the first
update in 15 years to child-support payment guidelines for
divorcing parents.
Under the new guidelines, the amount will increase for
middle-income families and decrease for extremely poor and
upper-income families.
Court officials say the new figures apply only to cases filed
after Jan. 1, although a limited number of current child-support
orders may be eligible for modification.
The guidelines set the recommended total financial support for
divorced families with one to six children.
Officials say the new guidelines, last revised in 1993, reflect
more current costs for raising children, modern tax rates and other
factors. The new version also has a broader schedule of child
support.

I care about nothing but myself…that’s why I bend over backwards for my child, put myself last, and have supported my child financially ALONE for 14 yrs while the deadbeat takes care of other men’s children and is in hiding. You got it. How’d you guess? No wonder no one will listen to your complaints because there is nothing behind them.

She has done everything in her power to hurt us including taking her and going out of state! But whatever your just want to hear your side and noone elses!

LOL. You are contradicting yourself. If he cared so much he’d do what he could to see his child. “she won’t let me see my kid” is OLD. “everytime we try to intervene, she threatens us”. ??? If you are doing nothing wrong, then what’s the threat? Please. If it were me, bring on the threats because I’d do what I could to see my child. Either fight to see your kid or come up with a new slogan.

jaimlyn711 , now just calm down. i do not blame you for being mad. the child is the one who suffers. i would not use dhr. first i would get a private attorney you can go thru legal aide. i know a girl who went thru the bar association and got a high price attorney based on her income. it was a case where the husband was doing the same thing. hey its almost free. yes there are dead beat moms to. hope this helps

Excuse me very Suzzane!! We have done everything in our power to try to help his daughter! We have written a 4 page letter to dhr and called social services. She has never worked and has 2 other children by two different men. My husband was young when this happened! You have absolutely no right to criticize me!!! This woman is a sorry excuse for a mother!!! I think the courts should look in to her too!! Just not the fathers because there are deadbeat moms also!! Everytime we try to intervien she threatens us! You just don’t know the pain we go through til you’ve walk through anothers shoes! HOW DARE YOU!!!!

your first mistake was dhr, they are so over loaded, they do not have time to care. i was very lucky to find an attorney who went after him tooth and nail and took part of the back support as payment. i remember sitting in his office and hearing is assistants loving it everytime they got one. i knew i was in the right place.
