CMB1! Thank you!

I assume the mother is not very old? I have no kids either but, locked gate around pool? buzzer on door to know if he went out? You don’t have to have to have a kid to have common sense. Sorry the families lose.

for sure bamagirl, i hope the 17 year old is ok, it was not his fault, this is just terrible.  just terrible for all.

Just to let you all know, Henry was severely autistic.  He was a wonderful child to know.  His 17 year old brother was supposed to be watching him while his father was at work.  My heart goes out to this brother because he will have to cope with this all of his life.  Everyone who has children know that a child can sneak out no matter how closely that child is being watched.  It is very unfortunate that some people will never experience the joys that a child can bring.  I have not heard anything about how Henry’s mother is doing, but I do know she is back in the hospital and was taken to view her son’s precious little body.  Please continue to pray for the entire family.

no one is to blame for this. it was a horrible accident. i just pray for the family. it is hard being a single parent, this man was at work.  his wife in a nursing home. the 17 year old will never be the same.  its just horrible. the father is probably consumed with grief, if they tell the mother it will be awful, they do not put you in a nursing home until the hospital is thru with you. the neighbor must be going nuts. its just a horrible horrible accident.

Good for you KxVious - that you have no children.  How can you say what should have been done to prevent this.  There are moments that children slip away from parents watchful eyes and yes things happen - tragic things.  I am so sorry for the family.  Terrible loss to lose a child.

I suppose what you’re saying is true if you only consider children born during and after WWII, before then, there was a parent, typically the wife, at home raising the children.
I’m not saying working parents can’t properly raise their children. Most choose to leave their children in the care of a responsible person. But as bamagirl said, this SEVEN YEAR OLD child could “easily sneak out of the house” meaning he was obviously not in the care of a responsible adult.

That is sad….KxVicious….a kid is a career. I bet no kids would want you to be their parent….sad sad sad…..I guess the world is a better place because you have your career and no kids….it looks like your job is the first thing in your life, to alot of people that work, their kids are their lives, not their jobs…..

I chose a career, not children.

Vicious, you are saying that Bama girl is culpable because she knows the family is in circumstances that make them less vigilant? No one has their eyes on their children at all times. When you were raising your kids did you lock the toilet lids down? I bet not. And my point is it could happen to anyone, even you. I recognize vitriol spewing from your fingertips. Welcome to ignore.
