MOBILE, Alabama - The 9-year-old Hutchins Elementary student who was hit by a car Friday morning has been transferred to USA Women’s and Children Hospital.

State Troopers say the girl has a broken collar bone and bruising on her brain.

According to troopers, Christopher Talley was driving a 2002 Honda Accord on Johnson Road in West Mobile. Around 7:45 a.m., a 9-year-old girl was crossing the road with three other children to board her school bus near the intersection of McRae Drive. Troopers say Talley failed to yield to the bus' flashing lights and stop sign and hit the little girl.

There has still been no determination if charges will be filed against Talley.

They sent a 80 something year old woman to jail for peeing in public. but a man who hit a 9 year old girl w/ a car walks free?? WTC???

Nationalman, he hit a kid while on suspended liscense. she was in elementary school. either way if he didnt have cocaine or not or inst rich he should have to pay for what he did. he should have been paying attention or whatever the excuse is. he got himself in more trouble so he should go to jail for his actions. maybe he will learn to follow the law this time.

May I be the first to volunteer to put his face through his own windshield?  Might be a little more effective than suspending his license.  How much you want to bet he drove to work today?  Again…YAY, Law Enforcement!

More news about this tragedy…

“Alabama State Troopers say he drove with a suspended license. So far no charges have been filed and the case has been turned over to the Mobile County District Attorney’s Office.”

The driver should not have been driving a car with a suspended license.  I wonder what he thought the police suspending his license meant?

This man needs to find out that there are consequences to his actions and choices.  Driving on a suspended license is a choice, a bad one, but still a choice.

I HOPE THIS LITTLE GIRL IS OK. HE STILL SHOULD HAVE TO PAY, I HOPE HE SEES THAT LITTLE GIRL IN HIS MIND EVERYDAY FROM NOW ON.

may have been a mistake but, he should still have to pay.

35 MPH speed limit, large yellow bus, strobe flashing on top, big flashing stop sign in front of you, and children crossing the road.  I agree 100% that everyone makes mistakes.  But I refuse to call this a mistake.  This, IMO, was a complete disregard for human life and safety.  There should be one hell of an uproar if no charges are filed.  My prayers are with the child and her family.

I have know Chris since middle school and don’t think anyone should be jumping to conclusions.  1) He was with a group of kids who got arrested for cocaine, but he was not in possession nor did he ever use the drug.  2)  He does not have a “rich daddy”.  They live a very humble and modest life and are not even close to being rich.  He is a family man who works hard to take care of his wife and daughter.  He made a mistake and that is something that can happen to anyone.

And let the villagers begin their march!

Love Mercy

I just read the comments. Sheltie…he’s got a rich daddy. I mean…he DID go to McGill (and could afford cocaine with only a job that paid $5.15 an hour!)
