A man wanted for burglary in Daphne is arrested in Mobile after a high speed chase.

Daphne police say Martin Penn stole a Honda Accord from a residential neighborhood. They say he also broke into several vehicles and stole $3,600 worth of tools and a shotgun.

State Troopers spotted Penn in the stolen car, around 4:00 a.m. Friday, driving 100 miles per hour on the I-10 Bayway. Before troopers could pull him over, Penn hit a wall just west of the Wallace Tunnel and flipped the car. He got out and ran, but was captured near the Mobile Civic Center.

Penn was arrested by Mobile police earlier in the week for being in possession of thousands of dollars worth of stolen merchandise.

Thanks Monkey-I didn’t get to look at the paper today, but saw the headline that he was ?released the same day as this crime-that was a passing glance-so that may not be accurate. I agree,I would like to know the judge’s “reasoning.” It would be interesting to know what the past charges and insufficient evidence were. Maybe, if he is found guilty this time, he won’t be back through the revolving doors for awhile….

Da Judge didn’t have sufficient evidence to hold him (according to the newspaper). He did have prior offenses, but I guess that didn’t count. Ask da judge why he released him. The judge needs to explain himself!!!!

And WHY was he out to commit ANOTHER crime? Seriously….

Just Crusizing, They didn’t want the car, so it is mine and the other stuff was was offered to me and I tooks it.
