Bradley Byrne Running For Governor

Alabama Governor  Two-year college chancellor Bradley Byrne is making the announcement at an 8:00 a.m. news conference in Mobile.

SPANISH FORT, Ala. (AP) - Two-year college chancellor Bradley Byrne holds a series of news conferences where he's expected to announce his Republican candidacy for governor in 2010.
Byrne has already announced his resignation as chancellor,
effective Aug. 31.
His candidacy kickoff is set Wednesday morning, starting at
Spanish Fort (8 a.m.).
Other stops are planned for Montgomery (11:15 a.m.); Birmingham
(1:45 p.m.); and Huntsville (4:15 p.m.)
