“I am extremely disappointed that Speaker Pelosi and the House Democratic leaders failed to follow the leadership of President Obama and work to get a bipartisan consensus in Congress to support the stimulus.

“Many Republicans would have supported something more targeted at creating jobs and not so filled with the lard and backlog of big government programs and wasteful spending.

“While President Obama extended an olive branch, sadly, the House Democratic leadership used a baseball bat to get votes.”

Bonner voted against the bill; however, the legislation passed the House by a vote of 244-188.

He will probably back off of the defense cut if it puts union workers on the street.  They pretty much bought this presidency and will flip out if he goes against them.

Iran says Obama’s offer to talk shows US failure

and to think obama is going to cut out military spending. a long 4 years indeed.

I think he’s planning on drafting anyone between the ages of 50 and 70 during an emergency so the government won’t have to worry too much about paying out too many benefits to veterans.See there BamaBob just when you think you’ve got it made!BAMM.We’d be holy terrors out there on the battle fields in our Hover-rounds or other electric scooters. The charge of the electric brigade.LOL

While Obama continues to push his pork laden anti-stimulus plan, he plans to cut defense spending by 10%.  How many good jobs will that wipe out and how vulnerable will it leave this country?

This is going to be a rough four years…..

I used to vote a straight democratic ticket years ago,but because of where they seemed to be headed,I jumped ship to the republican party at about the same time as senator Shelby. Now I deem my self as an independent and vote for the person not any party.I now see very few in Washington I have faith in but for some reason I’m gaining renewed faith in Jeff Sessions.Something in his speech and actions gives rise of hope for the average working American.I hope President Obama is the best one we’ve had in ages but he’s not gonna have as much slack as most of the previous ones due to the situation.I’m waiting to see on Michael Steel and his new position with the RNC,if he will be led around by the nose or not by some of the more jaded and influential members of the republican party.Don’t you sort of wish you could pick your dream team of representatives from all parties and win.

i always liked him.  i think they made a smart move.

Michael Steel just won the RNC Chair.  He is a good pro-life conservative that might put a little life back into the RNC.

Obama Will Review Buy American Provision in Stimulus

lol does this include steak?

now you know why when al gore ran for president, he could not even carry his own home state. they knew him.

It is always the same old thing with liberals.  They preach about one thing and do another.  Every time I see Gore going on about global warming I almost puke.

How can he fly in on his private jet and leave limos running while he gives these speeches about carbon footprints, etc.?  How can he live in a house that uses more power than some small towns and tell everyone else how bad they are on the environment?

He makes millions talking the talk and he thinks he is above the rest of us and is entitled through birth and money.

And Democrats think these jokers are “for the people” and will lead them to the promised land.  What a joke….....
