A preacher accused of killing his wife and stuffing her body into a freezer was back in court. Anthony Hopkins plead not guilty Tuesday to all the charges against him which include murder, rape, incest, sodomy, and sexual abuse. Police believe Hopkins killed his wife, Arletha, more than three years ago and put her body in the freezer. Hopkins is also accused of sexually abusing one of their eight children. The prosecution asked for no bond in the case, but the judge gave Hopkins a 750-thousand dollar bond for the murder charge and a 10-thousand dollar bond for each additional charge, "I am pleased that he set a very high bond because we do not want him to get out of jail because we do contend that he is a flight risk," said Prosecutor Ashley Rich. We also talked with Hopkins' defense attorney, Jeff Deen, "he like anybody else in America is entitled to a bond no matter how atrocious the charge might be," said Deen. Rich also says they had hoped the autopsy on the body found in the freezer would be done by Tuesday, but she says it's not complete yet. Rich says it's taking much longer than they expected due to the body's condition.

Jamie Burch, thank you very much for that information, it helps the case make sense.

The victim’s family is from Georgia. Anthony Hopkins told his in-laws that his wife didn’t want to have anything to do with them.

The autopsy is taking so long because the body is frozen and it’s taking a while to thaw it out.

Are these people from another state? How the hell can a woman go missing for 3 years and NO ONE call to report them missing? If the body was kept in a freezer, why the hell is it taking over week to get an autopsy done? You’d think that that would play in their favor! Maybe I need to get Gil Grissom on the case, he’ll get stuff done FAST, hahahahaa!
