BREAKING NEWS

A Baldwin County judge denies bond for two men accused of robbing, beating and killing a Bon Secour man three days before Christmas.

District Attorney Judy Newcomb says Cortez Porter and Floyd Casey used a hammer, rake handle and a knife to beat and stab 53-year-old Edward McCrory to death at his mobile home on County Road 49.

McCrory's landlord found the body December 22nd.

Casey turned himself in Tuesday afternoon. Deputies arrested Porter Monday night.

"This was a very violent act," Newcomb said. "(Edward McCrory) was stabbed and beaten. It's a very serious charge and we believe no bond is warranted in this case."
