HUNTSVILLE, Ala. (AP) - Boeing in Huntsville has announced itwill lay off up to 130 employees in September. Those who are being
let go were to be told on Friday.
The layoffs will be in Boeing's Ground-Based Mid-course Defense
program, formerly known as National Missle Defense.
This is the direct result of funding reductions that may be made
to missile defense in 2010.
The company said it will cut about 250 people nationwide. The
company is offering career service and assistance to affected
employees.
