Guess what Nettles? There are BAD areas and BAD people everywhere. I spent my day today in areas that most people would cringe at going too. But guess what? I didn’t get robbed, raped, car-jacked,etc. You know why-my lifestyle. When my little white self goes up in the hood, they know I am there to HELP,not harm. Therefore, they are not going to hurt me,and are actually very good at looking out for me,even neighbors of those I see chatting with me. It is about choices you make in life. Not knowing anything about either of these two young men, other than they both have mugshots, I can only presume that somewhere along the way some poor choices were made that resulted in a death.

Yes, I meant I love the community.  Not what happened.

I meant what I said.  I love it out here.  Great neighborhood and wonderful neighbors.  I completely understand who i’m speaking of.  I know he probably has a mother.  I’m a parent myself and can not bear the thought of loosing any of my children to something like this.  However, like my character, my opinions are strong and honest. I am sorry for his family.  Don’t come on here and bash people for their opinions.  That’s not what this is for.

Sorry, but I read pbcoasties comment as meaning he/she thinks the Dawes community is wonderful….how easy it is to take different interpretations from one’s post….

Pbrcoastie, you think it’s wonderful?!  Regardless of you presumptions’ about this young man’s character, this is someone’s child you’re speaking of.  Your comment goes to show your character, or lack thereof.  Apparently, the “community” is commensurate to your own dim and callous disposition, as you continue to live there. Somehow, that seems to be a slight towards the community more so than you, though. Dawes is not a bad area by any stretch of imagination. I’m from the Theodore-Dawes area and I travel frequently to big cities’, inner-city neighborhoods (i.e. DC, Boston, etc.) where they actually have “BAD” areas.  The discussion shouldn’t be about where the crime took place or even WHY it happened.  It should be about how to avert future occurrences in our community. My heart goes out to the mother and family of Mr. Foster. No one deserves to lose their child to such senseless violence…not even your mother, Pbrcoastie.

I live in Dawes and think it’s wonderful.  There are bad people and bad things that go down in every good community.  I see this as a positive thing…one less thug for me worry about.  Two if they get that Hardy guy.

You are right mob1-most of the folks over there are fine people. As is,with everywhere.imo I wonder what these past mug shots are for?

look! they used the same photographer. they must be card playing buddies.

I live in the general area and yes there are alot of drugs around the McCovery Rd / Baird Coxwell Rd area. Last Thanksgiving there was a shooting that involved two victims. One was killed and found laying along Baird Coxwell Rd.

Even though that have alot of crime in this direct area there are alot of good folks that live off of McCovery Rd area. There is a good chance this situation involved Drugs but keep in mind some of the folks here like to drink heavily and could have been a result of folks getting drunk and angry with each other.

“The Sheriff’s Office says the victim is a black male and they suspect foul play in his death.”

Well, I don’t think he burried himself.
