It's been a mostly wet weekend along the Gulf Coast. Showers had been covering much of the area Saturday afternoon into midday Sunday. That's welcomed news for the folks at Burris Farmers Market in Loxley. While the rain may have been a washout for some, for others it came just in the nick of time.“Oh we needed the rain, it's been a little dry here lately, and it will help the corn and things that have just come up and it'll be real good for the strawberries that are growing right now,” says manager Dennis Young. He says most growers were doing okay. Young says the wet weather came at the right time for farmers.
