The 8th annual BBQ championship and Hog Wild Festival kicked off this afternoon. Proceeds benefit the United Cerebral Palsy of Mobile. Over seventy teams compete in the BBQ competition for a chance to win trophies, cash and prizes. To take part in the hog wild fun, head out to the Gulf State Fairgrounds. The gates close at ten tonight. They will open back up tomorrow from 9:30 to 6.“Well we just want folks to come out and have a good time it's real affordable 10 dollars, kids 12 and under get in for free and you can go to this site find out more,” says UCP of Mobile Director of Market Marty Wheeler. This year's competition features professionals and amateurs. For the first time, they're also opening widening the field to including a hamburger competition.
