BayFest is offering talented high school musicians a chance to win a $1,000 scholarship.Short URL: http://wkrg.com/a/17653/
All sophomores, juniors and seniors in Mobile and Baldwin County are eligible to apply for the BayFest Music Scholarship Program. You must submit an application and a videotaped audition. The deadline has been extended to Tuesday, September 9.

All students who apply are invited to attend a music industry education program, which offers students the opportunity to learn from music industry professionals. (Saturday, September 13 at the Mobile Civic Center). Students will have a chance to play with national recording artist and Mobile native Dennis “Finger Roll” Nelson, and attend sessions on copyright law, contract negotiations, stage management, college scholarship opportunities and other music industry issues. The program runs from 10:30 a.m. through 3:30 p.m. Lunch will be provided.
BayFest is October 3,4,5 is downtown Mobile. Artists scheduled to perform include Kid Rock, Blake Shelton, Puddle of Mud, and The O'Jays.
