Card check will be the down fall of Wal-Mart and the rise of prices for all products.

Bruno’s can be summed up with one word, “union”.

its the debt. many of these companies were bought and sold and resold and the compainies are heavily laden with debt. its the business types to blame for this, eliminate the debt from the constant buying and selling and its my observation they would still be in the green today. delchamps, mci, enron, and now food world.

We are mostly the blame for a lot of our Countries problems. We don’t buy American made cars,we buy to much from “Wally World"products made in China.Meats and Vegetables coming from Mexico,Docker brand Pants come from China, and the list goes on.I buy my veggies from local people,I buy meat from the local butcher shop, and Wally World is out of the question.I put back any items not made here, doesn’t matter if its food, clothing, tools, etc.and I drive a Ford.

if walmarts prices were so low, they would not have it at the register where you can show competitions ad and get it for the same price. they would already have it marked down. i go to walmart i have nothing against them. i do not buy their meat or plants.

Well, Wal-Mart has LOW prices…way LOWER than Bruno’s.  Gotta slash those prices or you won’t have anyone shopping at your store!!!  That’s why Wal-Mart is so successful, their prices are so competitive, which is GREAT for us as consumers especially in these hard economic times!

i do not think burno’s was a case of the ceo being greedy. i think bruno’s problem could be summed up with one word.  walmart. here is some really interesting facts about bruno’s. they have filed bankrupt before.

Thats my point. Let me explain it this way: Let’s say that store A has a yearly operating cost of $250,000. Now, let’s say that store A makes, on average, $500,000. So, they profit $250,000 per year. (these are unrealistic figures merely used for examples by the way) Now, let’s say Mr. CEO makes…$1 million per year. He decides that he needs his yearly raise to pay for his new jet, five new houses, mistress’ house, 9 cars, exotic vacations etc. So, he now makes $2 million a year. He also decides to hire a CEO assistant and a CEO admin and a CEO analyst and a CEO wiper. The expense of these peoples salaries are now passed on to store A. So now, you have doubled the operating cost of store A just to keep up with the needless salaries of needless corporate CEO pork. It’s not that it costs more to keep the store open, it’s that corporate pigs are greedy and can never be satisfied with having more than they will ever need. This is a rough example, but I didn’t have the space for details.

I’m not sure getting rid of greedy ceo’s would help in this case. If it costs more to keep the store open than it makes, it stands to reason that they would close it.

Now getting rid of ceo’s at the big 3 and some of these other failed institutions might be a valuable idea.

OR…they could cut the salaries of the greedy CEO’s and corporate warts which would save them millions of wasted dollars…and they could keep their stores open to boot.
