The Baldwin County Sheriff's Office has arrested three men wanted for robbing four banks with assault rifles and body armour.

According to deputies, Marcus Schaefer, Jerald Godwin and Gregory Baber robbed four banks over the past four months - two in Lillian, one in Magnolia Springs and one in Burkville.

The men always hit on a Friday, wore body armour and carried assault rifles.

"We were holding our breath every time a Friday came around," said Sheriff Hoss Mack. "It is our anticipation that they did have plans to continue doing this until they were either caught or something else happened."

Deputies confiscated an arsenal of weapons - three shotguns, five assault rifles and three handguns - during the arrest.

A fourth suspect, Sidney Clark, is still on the run. Deputies say he could be in another country.

I know Greg. He’s a real good guy, just totally got in with the wrong crowd. Sometimes you do things you’ll regret. Hard lesson learned. I am so sorry to hear that he was involved in this.

Oh yeah.. somemore upstanding individuals who don’t like to work for their money.. oh wait unless they consider robbing a job.
