Alabama Mobile  A Gulf Shores man is accused of robbing a bank in Mobile and then leading police on a chase.

A Gulf Shores man is accused of robbing a bank in Mobile and then leading police on a chase.

Police say Jeffrey Pugh robbed the Compass Bank at Azalea Road and Government Boulevard around 1:30 p.m. When police spotted his van on I-65, Pugh refused to pull over.

The chase ended at a dead end on New Street in Prichard.

Pugh was taken to USA Medical Center to be checked out. He's charged with robbery.
