Fallen officers were also remembered today in Robertsdale where law enforcement from throughout Baldwin County took part in their third annual memorial ceremony. A rider-less horse represented those officers who've died in the line of duty. Six deputies have died while serving the community as a law enforcement officer. Organizers say it’s an important ceremony for officers and the public. They say it has a special message.

“To remind the public not only these six officers who have given their lives, but each officer is willing to do the same thing at any given time,” says Sheriff Huey Hoss Mack.
