A Gulf Coast furniture chain goes belly up and customers want their money back. Southern Leather Gallery in West Mobile and Malbis closed up shop last week.Customers who paid for special orders tell us that they are out thousands of dollars. When people showed up at the store to check their orders, the doors were locked and the inventory was gone.
Store Owner Greg Dumas sent letters to customers blaming the bad economy for the closings. He says later this week, he will have more information to make sure his customers are satisfied.
Southern Leather Gallery was a member of the Better Business Bureau in 2001-2002 and a 2008 member of the Mobile Area Chamber of Commerce.
We'll keep you posted.
