A Gulf Coast furniture chain goes belly up and customers want their money back. Southern Leather Gallery in West Mobile and Malbis closed up shop last week.
Customers who paid for special orders tell us that they are out thousands of dollars. When people showed up at the store to check their orders, the doors were locked and the inventory was gone.

Store Owner Greg Dumas sent letters to customers blaming the bad economy for the closings. He says later this week, he will have more information to make sure his customers are satisfied.

Southern Leather Gallery was a member of the Better Business Bureau in 2001-2002 and a 2008 member of the Mobile Area Chamber of Commerce.

I have little or no faith in either the BBB or the chamber of commerce so if I were one of these people I think I would try to get everyone together and seek a good attorney really quick before the business could file for relief.Did anyone else see that news piece on the national chamber of commerce urging not to buy American made,I believe it was on Fox news network.
