Auburn A-Day Moved From March To April

Auburn Gene Chizik  Head football coach Gene Chizik said he and his staff need more time to evaluate players. He also said the new date would provide players with an additional month of winter conditioning.

AUBURN, Ala. (AP) - Auburn athletics officials have moved the
school's annual A-Day game to a later date.
The scrimmage was originally scheduled for Saturday, March 28,
but will now be played on Saturday, April 18.
Head football coach Gene Chizik said he and his staff need more
time to evaluate players. He also said the new date would provide
players with an additional month of winter conditioning.
Chizik said spring football drills are tentatively scheduled to
start on March 24.
