Atmore Police and other agencies are still looking for 44-year-old Ferrell Purdue. Authorities now say 19-year-old Marquetta Washington was pregnant when she was shot to death. Atmore Director of Public Safety Glen Carlee says charges will be upgraded against the fugitive.

Police say Purdue broke into his estranged girlfriend apartment Thursday night. Once inside, police say he opened fire killing the pregnant woman and injuring her 26-year-old boyfriend Tony Hudson. Authorities say they’ve recovered a car belonging to Purdue but he still hasn’t been found. He was last seen driving a silver or gray Dodge Charger.
