A man suspected of gunning down a pregnant teenager in Atmore is dead.

Ferrell Perdue, 44, shot himself in the head Monday morning, while his brother was on the telephone negotiating his surrender with Bay Minette police.

Perdue had been on the run since Thursday night when investigators say he broke into his estranged girlfriend's apartment and started shooting. Marquetta Washington, his girlfriend's 19 year old pregnant daughter, was killed in the attack. Washington's 26 year old boyfriend was injured.

Perdue was unconscious when police arrived at a trailer park off Pine Grove Road Extension, according to Maj. Anthony Lowery of the Baldwin County Sheriff's Office. Perdue was pronounced dead a short time later.

Sucks he had to kill an innocent woman and a “fetus” aka BABY before doing the right thing and biting a bullet. I think it was a horrible crime regardless of rather or not she was or wasn’t pregnant, especially since she was not the one he intended to kill to begin with.

What difference does it make if she was pregnant? It’s just a fetus right??

Everyone who reads this story knows that they think it is more horrible of a crime since this girl was pregnant! Evidently the media thinks so as well or they wouldn’t have told us she was pregnant!
