At Least 27 Cars Involved in I-10 Accident

Alabama State Troopers say a 28 car pile-up closed down Interstate 10 for 6 hours today.
It happened around 4:30 this morning between Loxley and the Wilcox Rd. exit.
Troopers say there were 14 injuries in the pile-up. Most were taken by ambulance to area hospitals, but one person was airlifted to baptist hospital in Pensacola. Troopers are still investigating the accident.

Roadsid fire is usually caused by cars running flat throwing sparks to the very dry grass by the road causing them to ignite.

Looks like it is more the fault of the drivers for driving beyond their vision.  If you can not see the road clearly because of fog…. slow down or stop somewhere safe if you can.

The cause of this wreck was…..there was a side road fire, Not sure if city was burning grass or woods or what have ya, but anyways and it was really foggy. So the fire smoke mixed with the fog made it seem like you were driving through a big hill of snow. So no one could see anything but thick white clouds, not even tail lights.
