BIRMINGHAM, Ala. (AP) - U.S. Rep. Artur Davis, an early
supporter of Barack Obama with uncanny similarities to the new
president, is seeking to make history too.
Davis announced his Democratic candidacy for governor Friday in
a bid to be the first black to win Alabama's top office.
The 41-year-old, Harvard-educated lawyer ended months of
speculation over his plans at a noon announcement in Birmingham. He
spoke to a downtown crowd made up largely of whites, whose votes
will be crucial if he has any shot at victory in 2010.

oh MeAmerican, i do not support liberal democrats, neither do i support liberal republicans like the ones who are jumping ship and supporting obamas and peloski’s stimulus package. my avatar is a antique bustle dress, i collect them. so quit pecking on my avatar.

About 4 minutes into the video you will see Artur Davis defending Freddie and Fannie.

Do a search for youtube videos of this guy and you will quickly learn he has an agenda that does not include all Alabamians.

BTW, what is your avatar? It looks like a plucked chicken. Fitting I suppose!

I think Bush did alot of great things. On the immigration enforcement I believe he could have done a lot more. I don’t believe a person can agree with what another person does 100% of the time. I’m a patriot who firmly believes in the liberties this Country was founded on. Your support of democrats is quite disturbing. If that’s the way you lean, own up to it. I’m all Right!

lol MeAmerican, what makes you think i am liberal?
i noticed on the other topic, you said bush messed up with the immigration policy. are you a liberal?

Never said I hated mobile. But FYI, I don’t live in mobile. By the grace of God! Did I touch on a sensitive and weak spot in your liberal personality?

MeAmerican, you are the one who keeps saying how you hate mobile, keeps showing back up.

By the way, what ever happened with that tanker deal? Greed of democratic mobile mayor maybe? NO more democrats! They screw the working man at every opportunity! Petal, you claim one thing and speak another. Would you please get off the fence and stand on one side or the other. Your wishy washy stance is at best gag inducing.

yes, zell miller was prolife, supported strong military and for the working man and woman. bay haas reminded me of him getting fired up when he spoke about the tanker deal. i want to know more about mr. davis, of course if he is anything like obama i would never vote for him. obama does not fit the suit, he looks like a kid in the candy store. no world leader respect him.

One more Democrat,of course he can join the rest of his friends.Sure why not? There has been alot of his friends elected so far. Obama(Democratic Muslim sympathizer) Khwame Kilpatrick (impeaced Democratic Detroit Mayor), Ray Nagin, (Incompetent Democratic New Orleans Mayor),Marion Barry(Crack smoking Wash. DC Democratic Mayor),Larry Lunsford (Indicted Democratic Birmingham Mayor) Sheila Dixon (Indicted Democratic Baltimore Mayor, William Jefferson Indicted Democratic Louisiana Congressman) Rod Blogojevich (Impeached Democratic Illinois Governor),Don Siegelman (Indicted and convicted Alabama Democratic Governor) Jim Guy Tucker (Indicted Democratic Arkansas Governor) Does Alabama really need another Democratic Governor?
